The clock struck 6.15pm and that was when my heart budged me to walk here, the mosque.
Hundreds of people were present, sitting down, performing zikr and waiting for dusk prayers.
As soon I ended my Asar prayers, I turned to look at the people around me. They were smiling and giggling of joy.
Why didn't I feel the same way?
"Oh Lord of all worlds, I ask of You to grant us happiness and enjoyment in the hereafter- and protect my family and friends from hell fire."
I pushed my ego and sadness aside and that's when I felt the purest serenity in my soul. I couldn't have felt this if it wasn't accompanied with the zikr that was performed by the imaam of the masjid.
The world doesn't last. What if someone dear is leaving us... Forever?
Zikr. Remember Him.
Tawakkal. Whatever happens, it happens for the best.
Ittaqullah. Be afraid of Him. Be very afraid.
