Right now, I couldn’t sleep and so I watched this movie dated in 2013. I was so into it that my tears kept falling down.
Yagmur (girl) and Hasmet(mafia boss) met on a plane. They met again for the second time (unplanned) at the hospital for different reasons. Soon after they fell in love and stayed together for one year. She still doesn’t know Hasmet’s real name but she’s really sweet and innocent and she brings out Hasmet his happiness. He proposed to her. Yagmur said yes and told him that she wanted to give him a surprise(that she’s pregnant) after he comes back from a very important mission.
Turhan (or Tarik, Hasmet’s brother) overheard she’s pregnant when she videocalled her friend. He reported to Hamza(affiliated with Hasmet). They planned to get Yagmur an abortion so they brought her to a secluded place, spilled the tea (reveal about) Hasmet and bring a doctor who will do the illegal job. Turhan was very guilty though, he told Hamza that this is wrong. But luckily she managed to escape.
Then one day, Hasmet’s mafia family had a meeting with the Ihsan mafia family. To end the feud, there’s an agreement to get Hasmet to marry Nupelda(who is from the Ihsan family, who has a crush on Hasmet since young). Sitki (Nupelda’s brother) wasn’t happy, he is full of rage. But of course, Hasmet didn’t give his answer straight away, he walked out of the meeting.
After Yagmur was rescued by Turhan, he advised her to please stay away from Hasmet otherwise the Ihsan family will harm and haunt both of their lives. She was really depressed about this and left with no choice but to go back to her dad’s place abroad.
Hasmet tried calling and finding Yagmur but to no avail.. for months. He found her once at Yagmur’s friend’s house but her friends tried to shoo him away. By then he’s married to Nupelda. Nupelda tried to seduce and also give him a child but I guess she’s infertile or something.
I think few years later Hasmet finally found Yagmur again at a hotel with a doctor(gynae) and her son(who’s actually Hasmet’s son too). He then had a chance to speak to Yagmur face to face and demanded an explanation why she avoided him. Then Yagmur finally gave up from running away and explained to him why. Both of them were too in love to be mad so they hugged each other for a long time. Afterwards, Yagmur brought him to see their son, Kemal(Hasmet’s fake name).
They were happy for a short while after that until he got a call from Sitki(Nupelda’s brother), who has Turhan at gunpoint. His famous last words “if i dont come back tomorrow night, the guys will take you from here”. Omg. It cuts me deep 😭. So, after rescuing Turhan, sitki and Nupelda have Hasmet at gunpoint. Begging him to stay at their place to continue living or die.
He pulled the trigger from Nupelda’s hand and died with a tear on his eyelid. What a very sad decision. Stupid agreement, really. So… yea it was very romantic yet sad story.
